Content Gizmo, operated by Seven Tree Media, provides the Content Engine platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the Content Engine website, application, and related services.

Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

Username

Email address

Password, stored in hashed form

Business name

Industry

Account role

Passwords are securely hashed and are never stored in plain text.

2.2 Business Profile Information

We collect business information that you provide, including:

Business description

Industry category

Target audience information

Content and SEO objectives

This information is used to generate keyword research and AI powered content.

2.3 SEO and Content Data

We store the following information generated through your use of the platform:

SEO keywords retrieved via SerpAPI

Search volume and competition data

Generated article topics

Generated blog articles

Generated featured images

Generated social media posts

Publishing and scheduling status

This data is stored securely and associated only with your account.

2.4 WordPress Integration Data

If you connect a WordPress website, we store:

Site URL

WordPress username

WordPress application password

These credentials are used exclusively to publish approved content to your WordPress site through the WordPress REST API.

2.5 Social Media Integration Data

If you connect social media platforms, we store:

OAuth access tokens

Refresh tokens where applicable

Facebook Page ID

Facebook Page name

Facebook Page access token

We do not store personal Facebook profile data.

For Facebook, we use the following permissions:

pages_show_list to display Pages you manage
pages_read_engagement to read basic Page information
pages_manage_posts to publish approved content to your selected Facebook Page

The application does not post to personal profiles.

2.6 Billing Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We store:

Stripe Customer ID

Subscription plan

Subscription status

We do not store credit card numbers or full payment information. Stripe handles payment processing directly.

2.7 Usage and Technical Data

We may collect:

IP address

Browser type

Device information

Log files

Error reports

This information is used to maintain security, diagnose technical issues, and improve the Service.

How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

Create and manage user accounts

Authenticate users

Provide SEO keyword research

Generate AI powered content

Publish content to connected WordPress sites

Publish social media posts to connected platforms

Process billing and subscriptions

Improve platform functionality

Prevent fraud and abuse

AI Processing

Content generation uses OpenAI’s API. Text and prompts required for content generation are transmitted to OpenAI for processing. Under OpenAI business API terms, submitted content is not used for model training and is not retained beyond operational requirements.

Data Sharing

We do not sell user data.

We share data only when required to provide the Service, including:

SerpAPI for keyword research

OpenAI for AI content generation

Stripe for billing and payment processing

WordPress when publishing approved content

Facebook and other connected social platforms when you choose to publish content

Data is transmitted only to platforms that you explicitly connect and authorize.

Data Retention

We retain account and content data while your account remains active.

You may delete generated content at any time within the platform.

Upon account deletion:

Account data is permanently removed

Stored OAuth tokens are deleted

Associated content data is removed from our systems

Billing records may be retained as required for legal and accounting purposes.

Data Security

We use commercially reasonable security measures, including:

Encrypted transmission over HTTPS

Secure hashing of passwords

Encrypted storage of OAuth tokens

Restricted database access

Secure storage of API credentials

Facebook Data Deletion Instructions

If you wish to delete data associated with Facebook login or Page connections, you may:

Disconnect Facebook from within your account dashboard

Delete your account

Email admin@contentgizmo.com
with the subject line “Facebook Data Deletion Request”

Upon request, we will delete stored Facebook Page tokens and related data associated with your account.

User Rights

You may:

Access your stored account information

Update your profile information

Delete your generated content

Delete your account

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed toward individuals under 18 years of age.

International Use
